CRYSTAL CHIP BULK GRID STONE BAGS 100g

LABRADORITE Crystal Chips

Labradorite is a stone I’ve been resistant to offer in my online store as it is exceptionally difficult to capture the true beauty of this irridecent shimmery beauty. And how rare is it to find in crystal tumbled chip form ???

100g bags of tiny tumbled crystal chips measuring anything from 3mm- 1cm. Presented in a lovely organza gift bag. These tiny tumbled crystal chips are perfect for use in crystal grids but they aren’t limited to grid work! Because of their small size they have so many other applications you can use them for. Who doesn’t love a versatile crystal?! Here are just a few suggestions for their use.

Light and portable carry them in your medicine pouch or pop a few in your purse. It’s easy to access their energy without having to worry about lugging a multitude of huge rocks around. A very common way to infuse their magic is popping them into your essential oil blends. They are also safe for plants and fish tanks too! Add them to your candles, awesome for crafty projects or maybe style your own jewellery? My fav way to use them is as worry stones! Simply by popping them in a bowl and just run your fingers through them when you are feeling stressed or anxious seems to help the worries slip away through your fingers.

THE DEEPER MAGIC TO LABRADORITE

  • Labradorite is a member of the Feldspar family and is treasured for its remarkable play of color, known as labradorescence.
  • Colour: The stone, usually gray-green, dark gray, black or grayish-white, is composed in aggregate layers that refract light as iridescent flashes of peacock blue, gold, pale green, or coppery red.
  • Crystal system: Triclinic
  • Hardness (Mohs hardness scale): 6 – 6.5
  • Transparency: Translucent, Transparent
  • Crystal System: triclinic
  • Labradorite occurs in mafic igneous rocks and is the feldspar variety most common in basalt and gabbro.
  • Labradorite can display an iridescent optical effect (or schiller) known as labradorescence. The term labradorescence was coined by Ove Balthasar Bøggild, who defined it (labradorization) as follows: “Labradorization is the peculiar reflection of the light from submicroscopical planes orientated in one direction (rarely in two directions); these planes have never such a position that they can be expressed by simple indices, and they are not
  • Discovered in Labrador, Canada, by Moravian missionaries in 1770 who named it for the area. It is, however, referenced in legends by older Inuit tribes, and was known to be in use by the Boethuk peoples of Newfoundland and Labrador. It became a popular gem in Europe in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. [Simmons, 225][Eason, 163][Melody, 367]
  • Rarer varieties of Labradorite include Golden Labradorite, a transparent gold or champagne-colour, and Spectrolite (see below), which is an intense variety displaying the entire colour spectrum, discovered in Finland in the 1940s.
  • This stone is closely related to Rainbow Moonstone, they may be called sister stones as they have a very similar make-up. Both of these stones exhibit amazing plays of colour when they are moved.
  • As a workplace stone, Labradorite brings out the best in people, making work life more congenial. It encourages courtesy and full attention to the customer, and assists part-time and temporary staff in becoming fully involved in a company
  • Labradorite radiates a predominant blue crystal energy that stimulates the Throat Chakra and aligns it with the crown. Labradorite aligns and resonates with all chakras.
  • As an amulet of protection, Labradorite is a powerful Barrier Filter. Barrier crystals have incredible abilities to help us focus and amplify our efforts to keep undesirable elements out of our lives. Its crystalline structure gives it strength in all directions, allowing it to provide barriers to attack from all directions simultaneously.

SPECTROLITE

Sometimes Labradorite is incorrectly called Spectrolite- “spectrality “ exhibits a richer range of colours than other labradorites . The term has been incorrectly used to describe labradorite whenever a richer display of colors is present, regardless of locality.

Due to the unique colours mined in Finland, spectrolite has become a brand name for material mined only there. Sometimes spectrolite is incorrectly used to describe labradorite whenever a richer display of colours is present, regardless of locality: for example, labradorite with the spectrolite play of colours has sometimes described material from Madagascar. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spectrolite

CRYSTAL CARE:

Any crystals used for energy work need to be regularly cleansed. I suggest placing in full moon moonlight to energize, and revitalise. To cleanse, It can also be smudged/ moved through sage smoke or incense, my favourite  way to cleanse is to place on a selenite charging plate or near selenite overnight. Please avoid water
