So first up bit of science!

EMF is a field of energy created by electrically charged objects. A field has two “components”, an electric component and a magnetic component. The electric field is produced by stationary charges, and the magnetic field by moving charges (currents). Electromagnetic fields are also often referred to as “Electromagnetic Radiation” (EMR). You can’t see, feel or hear electromagnetic fields, apart from light, which is in the visible range of the electromagnetic spectrum. We are surrounded by fields of this energy coming from our technology - computers , mobile phones and even tv.

Some symptoms of excess EMF  are:

SO HOW CAN CRYSTALS HELP?

First of all stay away from any silicate based crystals - for the simple reason that they easily slide into resonance with electronics & microwave radiation. That property is why silicon (what silicates & quartz [silicon dioxide] are made of) is so widely used in technology! It’s an excellent semi-conductor of energy. We don’t want to be amplifying any frequencies we are trying to shield ourselves from . So no fluorite or quartz please near you computer or anything you are trying to shield emf from as they will amplify the energy!

The best crystals to use near your computers or laptops are ferromagnetic (iron containing) stones such as pyrite. Alternative non ferromagnetic minerals are black tourmaline and shungite.

Black Tourmaline. Before I get started YES I know black tourmaline is a silicate!! BUT it’s full of iron and elements that transmute negative energy due to its piezoelectric and pyroelectric properties. It is a unique crystal in that it has been tested to produce both positive and negative ions within a single crystal, and generate a very weak electrical charge. Rather than blocking EMF radiation, proponents of black tourmaline say the stone empowers your body's own protective electrical field

So it is a protective stone, empowering your own field to help protect against mobile phones, electromagnetic smog, radiation, psychic attack and negative energies of all kinds. Connected with the base chakra, it grounds energy and increases physical vitality, dispersing tension and stress.

Shungite is a black, lustrous, non-crystalline mineraloid ( so technically we can’t classify this as a crystal) that contains fullerenes. It is the only natural source of fullerenes. It is formed by a cluster mixture of carbon, silicon dioxide, and also pyrite, iron oxide, and aluminum oxide particles.

It is an Earth Chakra stone, so it helps provide grounding. Use this stone (wearing it or carrying it with you) for grounding. It neutralizes the excess charge from your body by draining it into the ground. It also protects against radiations from television, mobile phones, computers, microwaves etc
