Sacred Geometry - Platonic solids the secret building blocks

Platonic solids sacred geometry

Sacred geometry-

the 5 Platonic solids

Our entire universe and the world is made according to geometric values- said to be the source of all creation.

As early as Pythagoras and Plato it was known that all form and matter was formed from the combination of 5 identical three dimensional geometric shapes- platonic solids.

Sacred geometry is considered a universal language that is more powerful than any written language. Our brains unconsciously relate to the building blocks that create life. Every one of these “Building blocks” relates to a chakra and an element and each and every one of our crystals.

The Platonic solids are defined as, any of the five geometric solids whose faces are all identical, regular polygons meeting at the same three-dimensional angles.

Your probably wondering why this is so important in relationship to crystals- well these shapes are considered a universal language, the source of all creation. Their geometry or shape structure

  • The tetrahedron
  • The cube
  • The octahedron
  • The dodecahedron,
  • The icosahedron

TETRAHEDRON

The Tetrahedron (also called the Triangular Pyramid). It contains 4 faces, 4 vertices ,6 edges.

Each face is triangular.

The Tetrahedron represents the element of Fire and is linked to the Solar Plexus; the center for personal power and acceptance. It creates the natural balance between the physical and spiritual. Each side sits flat, no matter how it is turned, making it the perfect symbol for balance and stability. Creating a balance between physical and spiritual.

ELEMENT: Fire

CHAKRA: Solar Plexus

LINKED TO: personal power, energy expansion and awareness

USE FOR: Manifestation & Creation. Bringing the fiery element of authority over the lower aspects of self, the Tetrahedron supports and develops self-mastery.

HEXAGON- The Cube

Hexahedron is the second of the five shapes. It has 6 square faces, 8 vertices and 12 edges.
Each face is square.

The Hexahedron is associated with the element of Earth and corresponds to the Root Chakra. The Hexahedron sits flat, firmly rooted to its spot. Meditating on this shape will assist in grounding energy, maintaining focus, removing tension and easing physical stresses. It will reconnect your energies to those of those of the earth and nature.

ELEMENT: Earth

CHAKRA Base

LINKED TO: grounded in earth and nature.

SYMBOLIZES: stabillity, grounding, Strength

USE FOR: Grounding, Associated with Base of Spine .the Hexahedron can help re-order and re-organise scattered and dislocated energies, sharpening mental focus and providing a solid platform for creative focus.

 OCTAHEDRON

The Octahedron has 8 faces, 6 vertices and 12 edges. It is made up of 8 triangles, which is formed from placing two square based pyramids base to base. Balance of multiple forces is required when resting on a single point in time and space.

The Octahedron represents the element of Air and is linked to the Heart Chakra; the center for love and compassion. This chakra is where we access our healing and nurturing aspects. The self-reflecting shape of the Octahedron . By working with the Octahedron, we attune to the more spiritual nature our self and begin to understand our true nature

ELEMENT: Air

CHAKRA: Heart

LINKED TO: Eight Paths to Enlightenment through the Heart. Acceptance and forgiveness

USE FOR: Spiritual Enlightenment. Moving into a higher vibration of reflection, compassion and healing. The Octahedron inspires empowered, life-affirming choices because Air is the force of intellect and imagination.

DODECAHEDRON

Dodecahedron The Dodecahedron has 20 faces, 12 vertices and 30 edges. Each face is shaped in the form of a Pentagon.

The Dodecahedron is linked to the Ethers/Universe and works through the higher Chakras from the 6th Third Eye, 7th Crown, 8th Higher Crown and above. It is a perfect tool to use in meditation as the energy held within this sacred shape can raise your vibration up to facilitate connection to your Higher Self and the Source. The Dodecahedron is an expression of life and consciousness, allowing us to go beyond the vibrations of the physical body and to reconnect with the higher vibration of our true nature.

ELEMENT: Ether (Universe or Heaven)

CHAKRA: 6th Third Eye,
7
th Crown,
8
th Higher Crown + above

LINKED TO: Twelve Faces of the Divine Within. The Senses

USE FOR: Ascension and finding the Divine within. The Dodecahedron helps us to intellectualise and understand our experiences in this incarnation and be able to view these in the context of sacred contracts.By transmitting the consciousness of Ether the Dodecahedron helps us to merge all aspects of our creativity that exist multidimensionally.

ICOSAHEDRON-

5 triangles meet in each corner, 20 faces, 12 vertical corners,30 edges

This shape can assist in enhancing the creative thought process. It may assist in removing any emotional blockages that are disrupting creative energies. The Icosahedron is an amazing tool that teaches us to ‘go with the flow’; allowing freedom of expression, creativity and positive change to flow effortlessly   through us.

ELEMENT: WATER

CHAKRA: SACRAL

LINKED TO: freedom of expression and creativity.

USE FOR: Movement, Flow, Change. Conscious Prayer & Transformation. The Icosohedron helps to dismantle old patterns of self-sabotage and self-limitation, allowing us to flow effortlessly through freedom of expression and creativity.  Working with the Icosahedron facilitates abundant flow when things feel stuck.

MERKABAH

Though not considered one of the 5 platonic solids, the merkaba is composed of two equally sized, interlocked tetrahedra with a common center, where it takes the shape of a star. Mer, which means light, Ka, which means spirit and Ba, which means Body.

The Merkaba is an extremely powerful symbol. It is a combination of two star tetrahedrons - one pointing up to the heavens, channeling energy down from the Universe to the earth plain, and one pointing downwards, drawing energy up from the earth beneath. Representing the spirit.

Merkaba – Light, Spirit, Body

the union of spirit with body, surrounded by light.

SPHERE

The Orb or Sphere - Spirit

The orb or sphere is composed of many points which are all the same distance from a given point in space - perfectly round. Though not considered a true platonic solid, the orb is associated with the purity of spirit and enhances the energies of stillness and knowing.

Because it does not have straight edges or faces that meet, so it can not be considered one of the 5 solids.

So why are they important ?

For those of us who  use them for crystal healing and creating crystal grids. These sacred shapes add powerful energy layers and a sense of the divine to anything they work with.

Combine these forms together in the 2 dimension and you see  sacred symbology of mutations cube, the flower of life, The golden patterns

Working with crystal platonic solids

Meditation:

using the tetrahedron for transformation,

the hexahedron for grounding or connecting to earth,

the octahedron for focus,

the icosahedron for working through emotions,

or the dodecahedron for inspiration.

Sit quietly, focus on feeling the vibrations and allowing your vibrations to match the crystals. Choose one crystal at a time. As you attune to each unique vibration mentally and emotionally, your cells will attune physically. Which is actually how all healing occurs, by attuning to a higher vibration!

The Platonic Solids give us access to an extremely high vibration of electromagnetic energy, opening up possibilities and the potentiality to actually embody the electromagnetic energy flow of higher dimensional consciousness.  This is an altogether different vibration within the quantum energy and it affects the spin of atomic structure within the quantum field that is you, and some in the Lightworker community refer to this as the Bliss frequency spin.

Adding them to a crystal grid or medicine wheel

using the dodecahedron as the center.

For the north use the hexahedron and for the south the tetrahedron.  Put the octahedron in the east and the icosahedron in the west.

Try sleeping with one at a time to enhance the quality of your dreams.

I hope you’ve enjoyed your journey into the science side of our crystal energy
